3.3 High Performance Storage and Computing Subplatform
This subplatform is one of the earliest HPC platforms for computational biology at SINH. It is the only support platform dedicated to file storage services, computing resource services, flexible web hosting services and server hosting services at SINH. Over 100 computing nodes are provided inside the HPC cluster and peak performance is close to 50 TFLOPS. The cluster is equipped with general computing nodes, 2TB big memory computing nodes and GPU-accelerated nodes, all of which deliver supercomputing power that directly supports scientific research. Several sets of NAS provide more than 5PB of storage space. The platform provides high-level computing performance and storage for massive omics, phenotypic and image data storage and analysis.
