Research Areas:
Disruption of cell polarity is an important hallmark of cancer. The role polarity proteins play during tumorigenesis is poorly understood. Using cell culture studies and mouse tumor models, we will identify novel polarity pathways play in normal cell architecture and tissue morphogenesis. Through the molecular analysis of aberrant genetic and epigenetic pathways in epithelia cancer, we want to characterize the molecular basis of cell architecture during tumor initiation and identify potential diagnosis marker or drug targets.
