Research Areas:

Post-translational modifications (PTM) are enzymatic reactions that adding functional group to the substrate during or after protein biosynthesis. These modifications, such as ubiquitination, phosphorylation, etc., play important roles in the regulation of immune cell function by modulating the protein degradation, trafficking, activation and protein-protein interaction. Therefore, identifying and understanding the molecular mechanisms that regulate PTMs is critical in the study of immune activation and related disease treatment and prevention. Taking advantage of genetic mutant mice and related disease models as well as clinical patient samples, our lab mainly focus on studying the function of the dynamic modulation of PTM in:

1. Immune cell activation and related inflammatory and autoimmune diseases

2. Anti-tumor immunity and its molecular mechanism

3. Neuro-inflammation and its pathological and molecular mechanism
